ATHLETE PRESENTERS

USADA’s Athlete Presenter Program is designed to further optimize USADA’s in-person education by increasing the team’s depth of qualified presenters and ensuring that athletes receive education from peers who have successfully navigated anti-doping requirements. USADA recruits retired USADA Testing Pool Athletes who embody USADA’s core values, are passionate about clean sport, are comfortable with public speaking, and have a willingness to learn. This program also affords opportunities for athletes after the field of play, often helping athletes assimilate to the work force once competitive sport is no longer their primary career.

The U.S Anti-Doping Agency is looking for retired athletes to join the Athlete Presenter Program!

This is a paid, part-time, contracted position that requires some travel and ability to work flexible hours. This position will work directly with USADA’s Elite Education Team, which will train athletes on education curriculum, facilitating presentations, running booths, and producing social media content.

Board of Directors

Chaired by Olympian Philip Dunn, the USADA Board of Directors is comprised of experienced and professional individuals who share the ideals and principles of USADA’s vision, mission, and core values.

The USADA Board of Directors advise and support the staff in executing the work of the agency through its balanced and diverse viewpoints. Our members bring a variety of expertise to the governance of USADA, including background in the fields of law, medicine, higher education, involvement with Olympic and Paralympic sport organizations both from an administration and athlete perspective, and an understanding of anti-doping programs.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? I’ve always believed in fair play and this is an opportunity for me to give back to athletes to arm them with the knowledge they need to compete clean and emphasize the importance of competing clean.

Favorite Sport to play outside of main sport: Cycling or basketball.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? Promoting clean sport is important to me because it was frustrating competing against drug cheats when I was an athlete.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? It’s so important that athletes know as much as they can about the drug testing process, what their rights are throughout the process, and how to be safe and smart with their nutrition and supplement use. Being a part of this education, as well as helping them understand the value of competing clean, is a great way to give back as a former athlete.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? I wanted to become an athlete presenter to help educate the next generation of athletes on the importance of integrity and clean sport.

Favorite Sport to play outside of main sport: Believe it or not, none really. I like to stay active by hiking and working out.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? I am eager to contribute to the community as an Athlete Presenter, acknowledging the significant role athletics has played in my life. Working as an Athlete Presenter for USADA offers a wonderful chance to connect with a wide range of people who love sports as much as I do. I strongly support the principles of clean competition and fair play, and I’m excited about the opportunity to share these ideals with others.

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? When you train so hard for something you love, you shouldn’t have to worry about people cheating. You should also have the resources so you don’t make an accidental mistake regarding what goes into your body.

Favorite Sport to play outside of main sport: Basketball and occasionally pickleball.

  1. One of the first women to compete in the first ever Women’s 2012 Olympic Trials in boxing

Why did you want to be an Athlete Presenter? I have been an athlete for over 20 years and I think that it is important for an athlete to be educated and well informed about their rights and duties, and an important part of that is making sure athletes feel seen and heard, and not to feel lost when it comes to rules and policies that affect them.

Favorite Sport to play outside of main sport: Beach volleyball.
