Dietary Supplement companies don’t have to prove their products safely work for human beings nor is there scientific evidence that supplements improve athletic performance.
Supplements can be dangerous for you to take and should be avoided. For example:
  • Supplements like Ephedra or Ma Huang have been banned by the federal government.


  • Guarana, Bitter Orange, and Caffeine may cause the same harmful effects as Ephedra.


  • Pro-hormones like androstenedione (“andro”) can cause similar side effects as anabolic steroids does.
Remember, dietary supplements are in things like energy drinks, protein powders, herbal remedies, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and much more! Be wary of products that use words like stacked, blitzed, juice, blast, ripped and muscle builder.
