USADA
WELCOME TO USADA'S "DRUG REFERENCE ONLINE"
Drug Reference Online (DRO) provides easily accessible and accurate information on whether specific U.S. pharmaceutical products are allowed for use by athletes. Some over-the-counter medicinal products are included in the database.
  1. The status of the pharmaceuticals reflects the current WADA Prohibited List and applies ONLY to the formulations used in the United States.

  2. Please note that CLASSES of compounds are prohibited by WADA, therefore substances that are not specifically listed may still be prohibited as part of a class.

  3. Some compounds (e.g., anabolic androgenic steroids) that are prohibited by WADA but are not approved in the U.S. as medications have been listed in the DRO as examples.

  4. USADA does not provide advice on medical matters or treatments. Treatment for routine or emergency medical conditions is between the athlete and his/her physician. USADA provides the status of medications for athletes' information only, in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code. The athlete is responsible for managing their medical care and for using medications in a manner consistent with the World Anti-Doping Code. Anti-doping rules, like competition rules, are rules governing conditions under which sport is played.

  5. Abbreviated Therapeutic Use Exemption forms are available to notify the relevant Anti-Doping Organization about the use of the four beta-2 agonists and inhaled and injected (local) corticosteroid medications that require such notification. Also, Standard TUE forms are available to request the use of prohibited substances for essential routine care. For emergency treatment, a fully complete and legible Standard TUE may be filed with the appropriate medical documentation to support the emergency request.

  6. The athlete is responsible for ensuring any substance that is prohibited in-competition, but permitted out-of-competition, has cleared from the body by the time of competition. This includes clearance of the substance and metabolites from blood and urine.

  7. Please take your USADA Wallet Card when you see your doctor and/or pharmacist and let your doctor and pharmacist know about DRO.
Since you may remain anonymous while using the DRO, you will be given a reference number that can be used to document the search and the results of that search. The information provided by the search related to that particular reference number will be stored and can be reproduced as necessary. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you record the reference number shown on the search results page.
